MarcoPolo™ 3.0 brings a complete document imaging and management system to your desktop. Now you can contend with all the papers on top of your desk as well as all the documents in your Macintosh. MarcoPolo features an innovative OCR (optical character recognition) technology that can scan your paper documents and produce images that look just like the originals--with graphics in place and live text that can be searched and extracted. In addition, MarcoPolo can also image documents created in any Macintosh application. All the different document images are stored in document centers, where you use MarcoPolo to retrieve them quickly and easily. Using the equipment you have right now, you can make a giant leap forward in effective document management.
MarcoPolo gives you and your workgroup the power and flexibility to store any kind of document securely and yet find and share information easily. With MarcoPolo, you can use your existing Macintosh network to organize and leverage the information that’s currently scattered all over your office and your hard drive. MarcoPolo scans paper-based documents using any Apple or TWAIN-compliant scanner. Built-in Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology lets MarcoPolo read scanned documents, turning them into documents with graphics and searchable text. It also images documents from within any Macintosh application using a Chooser resource called a Document Creator. All these documents can be searched and retrieved quickly, viewed on screen or printed looking virtually like the originals.

This is a demonstration version of MarcoPolo 3.5; it has all the features of the release version, except OCR is not available and it will only archive 25 documents per document center. MarcoPolo requires System 7 or later.
